I was sent a must read this morning written by Thomas Sowell, a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. Rather than post bits and pieces here, jump over to his web site, it’s worth the read.

Earlier this week we reported that Michael Moore is threatening Blue Dog Democrats.

Moore: “To the Democrats in Congress who don’t quite get it: I want to offer a personal pledge. I – and a lot of other people – have every intention of removing you from Congress in the next election if you stand in the way of health care legislation that the people want. That is not a hollow or idle threat. We will come to your district and we will work against you, first in the primary and, if we have to, in the general election.”

We now have a video, from our new Friends at Newsy.com, after the leap.

This is beyond belief. Now Obama has replaced the “Lord’s Prayer.”

It’s a meeting held by the Gamaliel Foundation which has direct ties to Obama during his years as a community organizer and Illinois Senator. The video is after the leap.

Gamaliel’s has ties to ACORN and the Woods Fund, and it’s a tangled web. Obama was initially an advisor to Woods Fund, later becoming a board member and eventually, board chairman. He was instrumental in expanding the Woods Fund’s financial support for Gamaliel and ACORN. Another member of Woods Fund at the time was Palestinian activist Rashid Khalidi, a former spokesman for Yasser Arafat. Khalidi and Obama became close, to the point Obama would spend time at their home enjoying meals cooked by Khalidi’s wife, Mona.

For those short of memory, nine years ago this month Arafat launched the Oslo War, or Second Intifada against Israel which killed more than 1,000 Jews. It’s no wonder that Obama feels he can dictate terms to Israel, given the mentoring he obviously received from Khalidi.

Another Woods Fund board member during this time was the murderous terrorist Bill Ayers. I’m just saying..

From Politico

Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) received a handwritten note Thursday from Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold confirming the penalty for failing to pay the up to $1,900 fee for not buying health insurance.

Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty, Barthold wrote on JCT letterhead. He signed it “Sincerely, Thomas A. Barthold.”

To hell in a handbasket.

I wonder if Obamacare would cover this “penis” incident?

Update 2: Someone else had the foresight to grab it. It’s after the leap, but there’s more.
H/T Michelle Malkin

Update 3:

Burlington Township School District, to which B. Bernice Youngs Elementary School belongs, posted the following Letter to Parents this morning.

Dear Burlington Township Families:

Today we became aware of a video that was placed on the internet which has been reported in the media. The video is of a class of students singing a song about President Obama. The activity took place during Black History Month in 2009, which is recognized each February to honor the contributions of African Americans to our country. Our curriculum studies, honors and recognizes those who serve our country. The recording and distribution of the class activity were unauthorized.

If you have any further questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me or Dr. King, Principal of B. Bernice Young School, directly.

Sincerely,
Dr. Christopher M. Manno,
Superintendent of Schools

Backpedal!

Charrise Carney NunesSupposedly, the video was apparently recorded by Charisse Carney-Nunes. At any rate, it first appeared on her YouTube account and was scrubbed earlier this morning once it hit the blogs.

Michelle Malkin has emailed both Carney-Nunes and the principal of the school.

From Michelle Malkin:

I have e-mailed the principal of the school with the following questions:

Did Ms. Carney-Nunes have permission to videotape the performance?

Were parents notified that their children would be participating in this activity prior to the lesson?

Was Ms. Carney-Nunes invited to the school to teach the children the song and about her book, “I am Barack Obama?”

Was the principal aware of this event and taping?

Back to Charisse Carney-Nunes. Via ModernConservative, Carney-Nunes is senior vice president of The Jamestown Project, “the award-winning author of the children’s books, I Am Barack Obama (2009),” and according to her biography, “a graduate of Harvard Law School, where she was a schoolmate of President Obama.” I have e-mailed Carney-Nunes for comment as well.

From Carney-Nunes FaceBook page.

Charisse is the former president of Harvard’s Black Law Students Association of which Barack Obama was a member of in the 90s.

That explains a lot. I wonder if Harvard has a “Crackers Law Students Association?”

indoctrinate Original post:

This is disturbing. It’s a video from an elementary school in Burlington, New Jersey filmed in June of this year. In the video, they’re teaching the children a song that’s right out of the Saul Alinsky playbook. Here’s one verse I find particularly disturbing.

Barack Hussein Obama
He said we must be clear today
Equal work means equal pay
Mmm, mmm, mm!

Video and complete lyrics after the leap.

This cartoon was produced in 1948. It’s worth spending 10 minutes to watch it.

Honestly, in almost six years of blogging, rarely have I seen anyone pack as much letter-perfect constitutional instruction as one soldier did at an ObamaCare townhall/protest yesterday in St. Louis. It doesn’t surprise me at all that a young soldier would understand the concepts and the historical context of the Constitution. It surprises me that he has to explain it to the people in Congress:

“If there’s a blue pill and a red pill, and the blue pill is half the price of the red pill and works just as well, why not pay half price for the thing that’s going to make you well?” — President Obama

I don’t know if Tracy Warner or Dan Klugman at the Journal Gazette penned this, but they obviously have their head stuck far up their ass. As expected, they’re blaming the republicans for Obama’s expected failure on H.B. 3200. Maybe they should have a discussion with some of the blue dog democrats, who say the bill should not move forward without firm numbers on cost savings.
