This is freakin’ ridiculous. A left-wing whacko named Sonny Scroggins along with Lamont Lassiterm, a general manager of a Topeka, Kansas McDonald’s are going to attempt to get a national holiday honoring “The One”, and they’re using the ruse that it will also honor Abraham Lincoln.

The goals are to secure a national holiday in Obama’s honor, to organize celebrations around his inauguration and to celebrate the 200th birthday of President Abraham Lincoln, who was born on Feb. 12 1809.

At 7:30 a.m. on Inauguration Day, Obama Cake will be served at the downtown McDonald’s, and a celebration is scheduled for 8 p.m. to midnight Jan. 20 at the Ramada Hotel and Convention Center, 420 S.E. 6th.

If this passes, (which I doubt), we’re officially a cult nation.

President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in underserved schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and Veterans Corps. Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year. Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start.

Today, it’s been changed and now reads:

Then they forgot to change this page which read:

Require 100 Hours of Service in College: Obama and Biden will establish a new American Opportunity Tax Credit that is worth $4,000 a year in exchange for 100 hours of public service a year.

In an effort to reduce global emissions of methane gas, president elect Barack Hussein Obama, in collaboration with AL Gore and the makers of Depends Diapers will order all U.S. citizens to start wearing methane collecting diapers, or face a “fart tax” of 3 cents per fart. Shortly after the announcement fart aficionados took to the streets in protest.

“When you consider the most humans dispel on average a half a liter of gas day, or about 14 farts, the damage to the environment is tremendous. With over 305 million people living in the U.S., the effect to the ozone is practically immeasurable. Since Obama plans on joining the Kyoto Protocol, it’s the right thing to do”, stated Gore.

The new diapers, developed with a grant by George Soros will capture the dangerous nitrogen and methane gases using carbon filter technology developed by NASA. The diapers will also measure the number of farts emitted. Anyone emitting over 20 farts a day will be assessed an additional fee called the “Anus Overload Tax”. For those citizens that defer from the program, a fart tax of 3 cents per day x 14, (average number of farts) will be assessed, unless they have carbon credits to exchange for their fart overload.

As press time there was no word on an anticipated “burp tax”.

New York Mayor Bloomberg wants to nickel and dime you at the grocery store - taxing you an extra 5 cents for every plastic bag you take home.

The controversial charge could raise at least $16 million for the cash-strapped city while keeping tons of plastic out of landfills, city officials said Thursday - but some outraged shoppers aren’t buying it. More here.

Facial Hair Tax: Do you have a goatee? If so I suggest you stay out of the state of Massachusetts, which has a law on the books that makes it illegal to have a goatee without first purchasing a license to do so. A small fee must be paid in order to wear the facial hair in public, and one can be fined if a license is not presented to a law enforcement official upon request. No offense, but anyone that still has a goatee deserves to be taxed or possibly even arrested by the fashion police.

BOSTON (AP) - An immigration lawyer for President-elect Obama’s aunt says she wants to fight a deportation order and stay in the United States.

The Associated Press found that [Obama's] Zeituni Onyango (zay-TUHN on-YANG-oh) is staying with relatives in Cleveland after fleeing her public housing apartment in Boston. She had been living there for five years.

So does that mean she’s on the lam?

Onyango, who is Obama’s father’s half-sister, was ordered to leave the country in 2004 by an immigration judge who rejected her request for asylum from her native Kenya.

Asylum from what?

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

The first of the challenges thrown at the President-elect, who received his first national security intelligence briefing yesterday, came from the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.

He threatened to base warheads along the Polish border if Obama goes ahead with a Bush administration plan to create a missile shield in Eastern Europe.

Then Israel warned Obama last night that his claim that he was ready to open talks with Iran could be seen in the Middle East as a sign of weakness.

Obama has already said the thinks too much has been done for Israel. If he’s not careful with this issue the middle east could implode.

During the day he ventured out twice, once to visit his local gym and then his downtown offices.

Each time he was escorted by a convoy of black vehicles carrying heavily armed secret service agents.

It also emerged that both Obama and McCain’s computers were hacked into by a ‘foreign entity’ during the campaign.

Newsweek magazine revealed the FBI and the Secret Service had been called in, with one agent warning the Obama campaign: ‘You have a problem way bigger than what you understand… You have been compromised, and a serious amount of files have been loaded off your system.’

Federal agents told Mr Obama’s team in late August that Mr McCain’s campaign computer system had been similarly compromised, with a McCain aide confirming to

Newsweek that the computer system had been hacked and the FBI involved.
The hacking may have been Obama’s first skirmish with what was believed to be a foreign entity. More here.

Anyone out and about this past weekend couldn’t help but notice all the workers out canvasing for Obama’s presidential campaign. If you assumed they were all volunteers, you would be wrong. They were paid, temporary workers. And several hundred of them became raucous outside of Obama’s campaign offices on North Meridian Street when nobody showed up to issue them paychecks as promised. Indianapolis police had to be called to calm down the crowd. More here.
