How they continue to find the ambition to challenge anything with the word GOD in it amazes me.

Atheist Group Files Lawsuit Against Prayer at Presidential Inauguration

The head of an atheist group told FOX News Radio on Tuesday that by allowing a prayer at President-elect Obama’s inauguration, the government is subjecting atheists and agonostics to someone else’s religious beliefs.

How is this subjecting anyone to anyone else’s beliefs. If you don’t like it, don’t go or turn off the damn television.

The head of an atheist group that has filed a lawsuit against prayer at Barack Obama’s presidential inauguration says the government is picking a winner between “believers” and “those who don’t believe” and subjecting atheists and agnostics to someone else’s religious beliefs.

Dan Barker, co-president of the Freedom From Religion Foundation, has joined with Michael Newdow, who fought to have the words “under God” removed from the Pledge of Allegiance, in a federal lawsuit seeking to enjoin the Presidential Inaugural Committee from sponsoring prayers at the official inauguration. More here.

God damn America? Seems to be a common practice these days.

SAN JUAN, P.R. — Chelsea Clinton April 30th at Our Lady of Providence
senior citizens home, where she told 250 seniors and an order of Catholic
nuns who run the home — all of whom wear all-white dress-like “habits” –
that her mother shares their social and political values.

PORTLAND, ORE.  — Chelsea Clinton April 12th at the “Red Dress Party,”
where she told approximately 2,000 homosexual men — all wearing red
dresses — that her mother shares their values. The party was described
by one homosexual journalist as an “alcohol-fueled dance party where
nearly 2,000 gay men in various states of red dress undress (and several
nearly naked straight men as well as one very colorfully decorated naked
woman).”

Chick with a Glock found this book in her mailbox yesterday. It arrived unsolicited from the Seventh Day Adventist. Surprisingly, you can get it on Amazon for $3.50. Rather the read it, I thought I’d just post some reviews from Amazon.

Nslbook

We received a copy of this book unsolicited in the mail from a group that calls itself “New Life and Hope” but is too cowardly to list anything but a PO Box.

It deserves no stars unless you’re the sort of person who likes to see yet another group of wackos using the death of a lot of innocent people on 9-11 to promote their own agendas. Something they have in common with the terrorists.

It follows up with a section on how the Pope is “The first beast” (not any specific pope, mind you), which is sure to entertain Catholics the world over.

Only a idiot would give these fools any of their money, but the world is full of such idiots who think that 3.50 will buy them some sort of secret truth.

No stars for this book. It’s crappily written in addition to everything else.

And they really don’t like us Catholics.

This book provides an interesting look at the world from a Seventh Day Adventist point of view.

The book focuses on the identification of the beast described in Rev. 13; you know the one who prevents buying or selling by everyone who is not marked by the number 666. It identifies the beast as none other than the pope (actually all popes), based on a numerical calculation of “Vicarius Filii Dei” which it claims is a papal title. It goes on to say that the Catholic Church changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday (it in fact did) and re-numbered the 10 commandments.

The entire aim of the book is to convince the reader that world leaders will conspire with the pope to pass a “National Sunday Law” that requires all to worship on Sunday and therefore submit to the beast. Then the Second Coming?

The book is chock full of Bible verses, footnotes, diagrams, and calculations. I really was about to become scared — but then something struck me from high school Latin; “Vicarius Filii Dei” didn’t look right. It is supposed to mean “Vicar of the Son of God,” but wouldn’t that be “Vicarius de Filium Dei?” Heck, that’s 1169 not 666. Suspecting a rat, I checked a list of papal titles, and the only title resembling the one sited is “Vicarius Christi” (Vicar of Christ — adds to 208 if your counting).

Needless to say, I didn’t buy the author’s other arguments either.

I recommend reading this book to gain an insight into the beliefs of the Seventh Day Adventists, and to understand why they dislike the Catholic Church, most other Protestant denominations, and especially the papacy.

Save yourself the 4 bucks though, the Adventists hand these out like candy in major airports!

I emailed Bill White, the Commander of the Nazi Party after he publicly threatened bloggers that took him and his party of dumbasses to task for posting the truth about Tony “Baloney” Zirkle.

We further warn those inclined to denigrate this good man to cease and desist their efforts, before we are compelled to launch another Leonard Pitts or Jena 6 style protest campaign in the South Bend area. I also remind certain DC bloggers that I have been known to either come to the homes of or send others to the homes of blowhards to discuss their inappropriate commentary, and continue that inclination.”

I sent a Google map to my house and suggested that should they decide to pay me a visit, they might consider flak jackets (you can spell it both ways).

Awb_bring_it_on_sucker

His reply:

Whos_the_pussy

The definition of pussy from Urban Dictionary:
A word complete morons use to demoralize men who have a usable brain. I did send a reply, it said:

Küssen Sie mein Amerikanisch-Italienisch Esel Arschloch

WeaponI guess I shouldn’t really expects the cowards to show up at my house, eh?

Happy Passover Billy-BOY, you racist prick.

Secular Constitution thumpers bore me.

From yesterday’s Letters to the Editor in the Journal Gazette

Maintain church-state split
By Stephanie Salter

I met [Ellery] Schempp recently in Madison, Wis., and listened with keen ears to his speech to the annual Freedom From Religion Foundation convention.

[...]

Schempp, 66, is one of the most reasonable, sanguine and thoughtful people I’ve met in a while. He is also an atheist, as were many of the 750 or so convention attendees. In addition to atheists there were agnostics, secularists, humanists, pagans and atheists like me: people who practice a religious faith but do not want ours – or any religion – to be allowed to wreck one of the greatest things the United States has going for it.

I was listening to Mitt Romney this morning in what was an inspiring speech, and he pretty well summed it up.

“The founders proscribed the establishment of a state religion, but they did not countenance the elimination of religion from the public square,”

[...]

“It’s as if they are intent on establishing a new religion in America — the religion of secularism. They are wrong.”

Our founders worshipped God, while the secularist worships government. They’re almost exclusively liberal, and a large percentage of them are atheist or pagans with a few polytheists thrown in.

The secularist are still upset that “under God” was added to the pledge of allegiance in the early 50’s. It doesn’t say “your God” or this or that God, it simply states “under God”. And it is.

If you don’t believe in “a” God that’s your choice, but this country was founded and the constitution written by God fearing men and women. It’s more than God. It’s about social issues and moral convictions. Moral convictions cannot be assigned by man, but they can be taken away. Secularist claim that millions of people are atheists and we should be more mindful that they have no religion. The fact is, being an atheist is a form of religion and taking away our freedom of religion is their only agenda. They want to take it away because they don’t believe they have a religion.

The Family-Friendly Easter Bomb Hunt
Near the White House, Activists Lacing the Fun With a Political Message
By Sue Anne Pressley Montes
Washington Post Staff Writer
Friday, April 6, 2007; Page B01

Seven-year-old Alvin Mitchell worked intently yesterday on what looked to be a blue balloon wrapped around a tennis ball. It was a fake version of a cluster bomb, and the real thing, he pronounced, can “blow you up and kill you.”

The fake bombs Alvin and a dozen other children were making at a peace workshop will be put to use Monday in Lafayette Square. As hundreds attend the White House Easter Egg Roll on the South Lawn, a smaller group will gather at the park on the north side for what is being billed as a “family-friendly Easter cluster-bomb hunt.”

Raising yet another generation of cowards and whiners…

Sheesh

I got curious so I Googled the two terms. Illinois passed this bill last year.

House Bill 121 – This bill provides that as a condition of probation, conditional discharge, parole, or mandatory supervised release, a sex offender may not participate in a holiday event involving children under 18 years of age, such as handing out candy on Halloween, dressing as Santa Claus during the Christmas season, or wearing an Easter Bunny costume around Easter.

I wonder if Indiana has a law similar to this?

In more Easter news..

Officers who pulled a man over for running a red light found a plush Easter bunny stuffed with marijuana in the car, police say.

The man had trouble finding his insurance documents Wednesday and asked to look for them in the back seat, police said.

When he stepped out of the car, the officer smelled marijuana and saw some on the floor, police said. The officer searched the car, found two baggies of marijuana in the glove box and saw the bunny. Inside the stuffed animal, which was holding an Easter basket, they found 16 small plastic bags of pot, police said.

The officer found hundreds of empty baggies and a digital scale, police said.

Ian Lawrence, 25, was charged with possession of marijuana, operating a drug factory, possession with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school and motor vehicle charges.

The guy was also wearing a D.A.R.E. t-shirt, sheesh.
