The liberals always seem to pounce anytime someone is killed and they think it’s right-wing extremists, yeah, blame it on the conservatives.

In the case of Bill Sparkman, the census worker found dead two weeks ago, they’re moving at light speed. In spite of the fact that specific details have yet to be confirmed by law enforcement, the leftard asshats are already blaming it on the conservative movement.

Case in point from Faiz Shakir at Think Progress:

The gruesome lynching of this Census worker seems to bear a disturbing similarity to some of the worst hate crimes committed across this country. Regardless of what the motive for the killing may have been, why would a murderer(s) take such pains to so blatantly convey anger, fear, and vitriol towards a Census employee? Perhaps because some on the right have created an impression that Census employees are terrifying.

2nd UPDATE:

From the News Sentinel:

Ivy Tech ex-official to reimburse school

Resigned Ivy Tech Chancellor Mark Keen will be forced to pay back to the school more than $5,700 for use of college resources and facilities, according to Keen’s release agreement.

Keen must reimburse the school, with a cashier’s check in the amount of $5,733.73, by July 1, and he will be required to return any college property he holds. The agreement also forbids Keen from pursuing any legal or equitable action against the college, and both Keen and the college shall not “disparage each other,” among other stipulations.

UPDATE:

After leaving his home in the midst of a divorce, Keen purportedly took up residence at one of the cottages on the former State Development Center. It was also reported he may have used Ivy Tech funds to rehab the cottage, as they are not in livable conditions. Over Memorial Day weekend police were called regarding an unconfirmed incident and alcohol was found, which is against school regulations.

Keen was reported to have been banned from the campus sometime since the incident occurred.

The Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana Board of Trustees have reportedly bought out Keen’s contract in exchange for his resignation.

markkeenIvy Tech Chancellor Mark Keen, Ph.D. informed the College he would be resigning from his position effective Friday, June 12, 2009 for personal reasons. Dr. Russ Baker will be serving as the Interim Chancellor.

Mr. Keen is now said to be living in a camper in the Portland, Indiana area.

Ivy Tech has released this press release today.

From Business People:

Keen began his career at Ivy Tech in 1985 as an adjunct faculty member in the Electronics Technology Program. He went on to serve as the Automated Manufacturing Technology Program Chairperson and the Technology Division Chairperson before he was appointed Dean of Academic Affairs in 1994. He earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Higher Education Administration from Indiana State University, a Master of Science degree from Indiana Wesleyan University, a bachelor’s degree in Automated Manufacturing, and an associate’s degree in Electronics Engineering Technology.

Keen was Dean of Academic Affairs at Ivy Tech prior to taking the position of Chancellor on December 15th, 2006.

Ivy Tech is the fastest growing college in Indiana.

Thank God a Georgia college student had the good sense to save his friends lives.

http://www.wsbtv.com/news/19365762/detail.html

How much you wanna bet this NEVER get’s a mention in any major newscast or newspaper?  The only way this would be newsworthy to the MSM is if the kid DIDN’T have a gun and the thugs massacred the students. Then it would fit the medias’ anti 2nd ammendment agenda.

Instead, the good guys win, so it’s no news here, move along, nothing to see here. But Barry and Joe are gettin’ a cheeseburger, let’s send out a news crew!!!

Frickin’ pathetic.

I really don’t visit the Fort Wayne African- American Independent Woman’s blog too often anymore.  I usually get a headache trying to find the point, realize that if I say anything at all she is not going to answer my question and then she is going to call me a raced white.  But today I ventured on to her site.

I am trying really hard to figure out this rant.  Apparently Credo was upset because three patrol cars were patroling her neighborhood.  Or as she calls them, the “bully patrol.”  Credo is miffed because she approached the police on patrol and asked them what their business was.  From what I can surmise she was told it was not her business and she is really not happy about this.

I would have commented on her post and asked her why she was so angry because the police are doing their job in her neighborhood.  Past experience tells me I will be deleted or called a raced white, so there is no point in asking her. But quite seriously, if and when I see a police officer in my neighborhood, I realize there may be a problem and therefore I am glad to see the officer in my neighborhood and doing his/her job and I realize it is not my business, I respect the privacy of my neighbors knowing full well if it is something that directly affects me, I will be alerted in a timely manner to keep harm from coming to my family.  I realize if I am out pestering them about what they are doing, I am in fact obstructing justice as I am distracting them from doing the job they are there to do.

Anyone have a different point of view?

Following the raid on Monday, the last massage parlor in Warsaw was closed down.  Arrests for prostitution had occurred in each of four establishments in the small community. Word on the street in Warsaw has it that Monday’s raid was by far the biggest bust and included an establishment in Fort Wayne and Georgia.  I always found it curious that the VIP Office Spa had a billboard up on US 30 coming out of Fort Wayne.  That just kind of raised my eyebrow that something might be askew.

Well anyhow, they now have that problem under control in Warsaw, what will they focus on next?  Hope they don’t start looking for something to do, like banning smoking…

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Anna Nicole Smith, the voluptuous former Playboy centerfold who married an octogenarian billionaire and waged a legal battle for his fortune all the way to the Supreme Court, died Thursday after collapsing at a hotel. She was 39.

The blond bombshell — who recently became tabloid fodder all over again after the sudden, apparently drug-related death of her 20-year-old son — was stricken while staying at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and was rushed to a hospital.

Edwina Johnson, chief investigator of the Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office, said the cause of death was under investigation and an autopsy would be done on Friday.

A private nurse called 911 after finding Smith unresponsive in her sixth-floor room, said Seminole Police Chief Charlie Tiger. He said Smith’s bodyguard administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation about an hour before she was declared dead.

Through the ’90s and into the new century, Smith was famous for being famous, a pop-culture punchline because of her up-and-down weight, her exaggerated curves, her little-girl voice, her ditzy-blonde persona, and her over-the-top revealing outfits.

The curvaceous Texas-born Smith was a topless dancer at strip club before she entered her photos in a search contest and made the cover of Playboy magazine in 1992, captivating readers with her Marilyn Monroe looks. She became Playboy’s playmate of the year in 1993.

She was also signed to a contract with Guess jeans, appearing in TV commercials, billboards and magazine ads. In 1994, she married 89-year-old oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II, the head of oil-based Koch Industries, which is part of a family fortune worth at least $400 million. He died in 1995 at age 90, setting off a feud with her former stepson, E. Pierce Marshall, over whether she had a right to his estate.

Rest of the story here.

More on this story from Good Morning America. Her own mother has said she thinks Anna’s death is drug related. I guess it really is a statement of the obvious, but an autopsy is scheduled for today. It just seemed shocking to me that her own mother would speak out in such a manner.

Feb. 9, 2007 — Virgie Arthur, Anna Nicole Smith’s mother, said today on “Good Morning America” that Smith’s death may have been a result of drug use.

“I think she had too many drugs,” Arthur told “GMA” anchor Robin Robert, “just like Danny” — an apparent reference to Smith’s 20-year-old son, Daniel, who died suddenly in the Bahamas last year.

Arthur has said in interviews that she believes the Daniel’s death was not an accident.

From the Indiana News Center… It appears many kids in the Fort Wayne area were waiting on school buses that were either broke down or running extremely late due to the cold weather. My kids are fortunate that they can wait inside the house until they see the bus coming, but today, many school systems canceled classes due to the extreme cold. It was a wise decision. We have been under a cold weather advisory since Saturday that will continue until early tomorrow afternoon. When you deal with wind chill factors reaching 10-20 below zero, you really have to look at all risk factors. Blame it on global warming or whatever you may choose, but our winters have not been quite so harsh in recent years and we have become lax in properly preparing for extreme cold.

At least 25-Fort Wayne Community Schools buses would not start, or broke down while trying to pick up children at stops following a two-hour delay this morning… because of the cold temperatures. East Allen County School experienced a similar problem. Both school systems notified the media that buses were running extremely late due to the cold. However, neither school system canceled classes, leaving hundreds of children waiting for buses in the sub-zero weather.

My daughter starts Driver’s Education classes this week, and I realize it won’t be long until she is driving. I guess it makes me more aware of the hazards on the road. The young kids who have not had their licenses for long may be very ill-prepared in the case of an emergency such as a flat tire or stalled engine in extreme cold conditions such as this. I am thankful for the school systems that closed their doors today keeping in mind the overall safety of the students. Realistically if we have one more weather-related cancellation, the day or days will have to be made up, maybe extending out the final date for the last day of school, but personally, I would rather know my children are safe.

By the way, Fort Wayne Community School children who stayed at home today will have an excused absence.

Look here There are already delays for tomorrow! Posted By Lucy

From the News Sentinel:

Piere’s may challenge city smoking ban
By Kathleen Quilligan
kquilligan@news-sentinel.com
If City Council thought Tuesday’s vote to pass one of the state’s strictest smoking ordinances marked the end of a contentious issue, Todd Smith is ready to tell them they’re wrong.

Smith, general manager at Piere’s nightclub, said that within an hour after hearing the result of council’s vote, he was on the phone with lawyers in Indianapolis and Chicago about challenging the legality of the ordinance.

“Next is prohibition,” Smith said.

The ordinance bans smoking in all enclosed public places and within 20 feet of all government buildings and 200 feet of hospital campuses. The only places smoking is allowed are in private residences and designated hotel and nursing home rooms.

Smith estimated 45 percent of his customers smoke heavily and another 15 percent smoke casually. He said since Tuesday night’s vote, Piere’s phones haven’t stopped ringing with people concerned about how the ordinance will affect the nightclub. For example, he’s worried about the 20 feet rule; he estimates 20 feet from his entrance is across the street.

City Councilman John Crawford said Smith will have a hard time overturning the ordinance in court.

“There is a vanishingly small possibility (he could win),” Crawford said.

City attorney Tim Manges said Wednesday night no one had contacted him about challenging the ordinance, but acknowledged that with such a contentious issue a court battle would be a possibility. Still, he said there is little language in the ordinance that’s original; most of it is taken from one already in place.

“I haven’t seen any smoking ordinances overturned in other jurisdictions,” Manges said.

Smith, who calls himself an “on and off” smoker, said he is willing to spend whatever it takes to fight the ordinance in court.
