Don’t say I didn’t tell you so..

Barry Real Estate is spinning out of control on this project.

From Indiana’s News Center

FORT WAYNE, IN (Indiana’s NewsCenter) — The Harrison Square condominium project is going through another major revamping, in an effort to qualify for a bank loan to launch construction.

[...]

The changes involve reducing the number of living units for a second time.
The original design called for three levels of condos on top of retail space on the ground floor.

Artist renderings turned over to Indiana’s NewsCenter on Thursday show only one level of condos, equating to a total of 17 living units.

Hmmm, boy-howdy. This really makes the $31 a square foot retail space all that more attractive, doesn’t it?

What a load of shit.

As I’ve said before, drop all the contracts, they’ve not lived up to the agreements, and put it out for other developers to bid on. What the hell are we waiting on?

You now know what the results of Greg Leatherman’s plan to bill Hardball $5000 for the cost to get an alcoholic beverage permit is – They have to cut a whole floor off the condos to raise the money! Isn’t it great to have such a financially solid organization active in our city? Thank you very much, Richard, Becker, Pape, Crawford, Talarico, Didier, and Hayhurst.

John, I think every person you named should be asked how much they have paid out for season tickets, condos, parking slots, etc. since they wanted this so badly.

Agreed. Let\’s check them ALL out, and see if they\’ve put their money where their mouths were.

At least Tom Henry TRIED to put a positive spin on this whole boondoggle, by putting up a deposit on the never-to-be-built condos. Everyone else? Strangely silent–an amazing feat for politicians.
