Howard weighs (from Fort Wayne Politics)

Jim Howard writing from home here. No I did not have any inside track with Cal Miller or the local GOP on this one. I talked to someone that was at the meeting because I was curious as to how the salary gig worked out and they mentioned that Cal Miller had resigned. I put two and two together and quickly made a decision to jump on this. No insider information—just quick response (and I am a former Intelligence officer so I would like to say “good Intelligence”). Its about breaking down silos during economically troubled times. Its about making government work with more common sense and less ego. That is what I am about in this candidacy.

In another 5-0 vote, the Allen County Council reversed it’s earlier decision to cut the Allen County Commissioner’s pay from $65,295 a year to $35,000 per year.

In another surprise, Councilman Cal Miller resigned at the end of today’s meeting. Jim Howard, City of Fort Wayne Purchasing Director will be running for the seat and will speak at this Monday’s Conservative Breakfast Club.

One Response to “County Council reverses salary cuts: Howard to run for 4th district County Council seat”
  1. Mark Andrews says:

So Mr. Information why did Miller resign? And why did those wimps in the County back-down?

Editor’s note: Cal resigned citing personal reasons. You’ll have to ask Paul Moss the other question.
