From the local fish wrap:
The trial of former Republican mayoral candidate Matt Kelty has been pushed back a day. New evidence came to light this weekend and was given to the defense Sunday.
On Monday, when the trial was scheduled to begin, the defense asked for a week to prepare in light of that evidence.
Allen Superior Judge Kenneth Scheibenberger said a week was not possible because the court schedule would not allow it. He gave the defense 24 hours.
I know what happened, but I’m not sure I can share it here yet. I can tell you it was given to Sigler Saturday around noon, and he didn’t give it to Matt’s defense team until 1:00 yesterday.
But, only 24 hours? If the schedule is busy next week, move it out another week or two. They haven’t even seated a jury yet.

Funny…in most EVERY other state, nothing would have happened to Matt…and he’d probably be the mayor HERE by now.
(Yeah, funny.)
