Local Fort Wayne blogger (and African-American) Jacqueline Dowdell has this headline on her site:

HOLLYWOOD STARS URGE BLACK AMERICA TO VOTE EARLY

Alright, to be fair, what if I had a headline on my site that said, “Fort Wayne Conservatives Urge White America to Vote Early”?

I tell you what, I am doing just that. Come on Whitey, get your ass out and vote.

After all, based on a recent poll, it showed white folk are 49% in the tank for McCain, (39% Obama and 12% undecided). Compare that with 81% of blacks and only 3% of whites for Obama.

I’m also urging conservative Black Americans, Hispanic Americans, and any other ethnicity to vote early. Hell, vote early and vote often if you’re an ACORN registrant.

This is turning into a race war, and that my friends is a damn shame. It seems that Americans can no longer think with their intellect. Instead, they’re thinking with the race card hidden up their sleeve.

For Obama, I turn you to the Bill of Rights. You decide, and over the next week I’ll illustrate how Obama has taken the Bill of Rights and essentially trashed it.

First amendment:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The Obama campaign must really be in worse trouble than we thought. What else to conclude from the campaign’s decision to file a 64-page complaint with the Federal Election Commission, trying to prevent Edgar Bronfman and the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees from spending $700,000 on television commercials to be aired at Indiana for Senator Clinton? More here.

Or this:

In their effort to shut down all opposition, the Obama campaign liberals issued “Obama Action Wire” alerts for activists to call a Chicago radio station and try to shut down appearances by two Obama critics, writers Stanley Kurtz and David Freddoso. More here.

And here:

Last week the Governor of Missouri, Matt Blunt, issued a statement on the Obama campaign’s “abusive use of Missouri law enforcement.” What was striking about the allegations Blunt made was the eerie parallel between the Obama camp’s activity and the Organization of the Islamic Conference’s efforts to stifle all criticism of Islam and destroy the freedom of speech — also by means of legal intimidation — at the UN and elsewhere. More here.

This is just the First Amendment folks. I’ll have the rest next week.

  1. You know, I was thinking of Credo the other day….I saw a commercial for K-Mart advertising Christmas shopping early because they have………drumroll……….you guessed it……Layaway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is there a K-Mart in her neighborhood? I sure hope so or those raced white people will be at fault again. ;)

This was a press release, of course you know I tend to like the term African-American. But, I did not write the media release. I don’t believe the title is offensive. I believe it suggest that folks should not wait till the last minute to vote.

    Lucy

    K-Mart has always had a lay-a-way. And that’s a good thing.

Glad to see you are using my name and still getting upset when I raise my voice on issues that impact the African-American community.

  3. Interesting….did I say I was upset about anything? I was just musing about how Credo had crossed my mind the other day.

  4. Credo:
I have a couple of questions, have you heard the Howard Sterns audio of the interviews in Harlem when the commentator recites John McCain platform on taxes, spending, the war and health care and says these are Obama’s platform and interviewees say that is why they are voting for Obama, they do not care what the platform is, they just are voting on race, is that racism?
Why do a majority of Black Americans whose core beliefs match the Republican platform but yet blindly walk into the polling location and vote Democrat? The Democrat Party that gave you the Klan, had control of Congress for over 44 years and could of passed every civil rights law and labor law that they wanted to, who fought the 1964 Civil Rights Act and then tell you they are the champion of the minorities. This is a lot like peeing on your head and calling it rain.

  5. I caught the Howard Stern interviews, it was hilarious. Talk about “out of touch”.

  6. Oreo:

    No, to the first question.

Voting based on race is nothing new, but it becomes more apparent when practiced by African-Americans. I believe it is racialist behavior when African-Americans do it to deny certain rights to raced whites. I don’t see this happening.

I can’t speak for the majority of African-Americans, but I will say this, I don’t believe the republican platform represent the core beliefs of African-Americans. I don’t believe that the majority of African-American believe in the war in Iraq, I don’t believe that the majority of African-American are not pro choice, I don’t believe that majority of African-Americans are against legal citizenship.

I don’t believe either party have been fair to many groups in the United States, so when someone comes along with true reform, which generally appears in the Democratic Party, many African-Americans vote the ticket.

However, Obama is different, Obama is registering many American citizens who would not have particpated in the electoral process, just not African-Americans. Obama is not just an African-American candidate. Obama represent an opportunity for African-Americans to play an important role in getting him into the white house.

I believe African-Americans, way back to Fredrick Douglass understood, it was pee, while raced white americans tried to convince us, that it was rain.

As you know, I am an independent..I voted for Obama for the general but will not be voting for either candidates during the primary.
