Today Warner (employed by a local publisher) had this to say today:

Governor’s race

Daniels and Long Thompson are in a statistical dead heat for the governor’s office, a poll last week from the Indianapolis Star and Indianapolis TV station WTHR showed. The poll showed Daniels leading 46 percent to 42 percent – with a 4 percent margin of error and 12 percent of poll respondents undecided.

And then he fails to mention the poll that followed, conducted by an independent polling company that shows Daniels lead at 16 points.

Let’s take a look at the recent polls.

The first poll, conducted September 12th -15th by Bellweather Research for the Indiana Republican Party, showed Governor Daniels with a strong 21 point lead over his opponent, 52% - 31%.

The last was conducted September 16th - 17th by the independent research organization Rasmussen Reports, showed Mitch with a sixteen point, 56% to 40% lead.

And stuck in between, the Indy Star poll. It’s clear the Star/WTHR poll is an outlier, completely out of step with all of the other recent public polls.

One Response to “Tracy Warner: Just another member of the partisan liberal (old) media”
  1. Squarefingrer says:

It’s the media echo chamber. The Star prints it, and Tracy Warner and the JG reports it as if it the sole truth because it supports their politics. Warner and the JG could have just as easily did what AWB did, and presented a researched factual report from which readers could draw their own conclusions. It’s called reporting, not repeating, Mr. Warner.
