Fort Wayne, IN., September 18, 2008 – The Allen County Right to Life Political Action Committee (ACRL- PAC) today endorsed a number of Federal, State, and Local candidates seeking elected office in the Indiana general election being held November 4th.
“This year’s general election will indeed be a historic opportunity for the cause of life and we are again pleased to have a solid slate of pro-life candidates on the ballot in the fall,” said ACRL PAC Communications Director, Cathie Humbarger. “We believe attitudes and actions in response to life issues are core indicators that speak to the judgment and character of candidates, and demonstrate how they are likely to govern on the many other issues important to voters” remarked Humbarger.
The slate of candidates endorsed by the ACRL PAC for the November 2008 General Election are:
US Representative, IN 3rd District Mark Souder (R)
IN Governor Mitch Daniels (R)
IN Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Skillman (R)
IN State Attorney General Greg Zoeller (R)
IN State Senate, 16th District David Long (R)
IN State Representative, 83rd District Matt Bell (R)
IN State Representative, 84th District Randy Borror (R)
Allen County Commissioner, District 1 Nelson Peters (R)
Allen County Treasurer Sue Orth (R)
Allen County Surveyor Allan D. Frisinger (R)
Fort Wayne County Council Roy Buskirk (R) At Large
Fort Wayne Community School Board Donald Schaab District 2
Fort Wayne Community School Board Jon Olinger District 3
The endorsements were based, in part, on a survey each candidate was asked to complete. Candidates who did not respond to the survey were not considered. Thirty-nine candidates were surveyed which included 19 Republicans, 13 Democrats, and 7 candidates with no noted Party affiliation. Thirty-eight percent of those surveyed responded which included Republicans with a 28% response rate, and Democrats and those with no Party affiliation with a 5% response rate respectively. The complete list of candidates and their survey responses will be published in the ACRL quarterly newsletter prior to the election, and in Voter Guides produced by ACRL and made available to the public.

What, no endorsement for Pond?
I checked on this, she’d have to respond to a survey first to even be considered. She’s never responded.
Ms.Humbarger,
Are you kidding ME! These’s clowns ( souder, long, bell, borror, peters, buskirk) will never ever get MY vote. tThey all need too go!!!!
To Dan Mauricio.
If I recall correctly you are one of the Kelty Kool-aid Kids, aren’t you? All you can do is call these people clowns? I’ve seen some of your comments around the blogs before and as always you’ve demonstrated once again just how uneducated you are.
Dan,
Given who is on the ballot for these offices, who would you vote for instead? Perhaps you can tell everyone who is acceptable to the Kelty Klan.
Phyllis Pond says she is pro-life but has publically stated that she believes life begins outside of the mother’s womb and until that life is born, the mother has the right to do with it as she chooses. THIS IS NOT PRO-LIFE!!!!
Amy was a little tardy in her post. But she provides interesting, and useful, info.
