WHERE: Center field, Harrison Square Ballpark, Downtown
Directions:
Traveling along West Jefferson Boulevard, take a right on Harrison Street. After one block, take another right on Douglas, where you’ll find yourself between the federal courthouse to the south and the new Harrison Square parking deck to the north. After another block, you’ll bear left onto Webster Street by default and the entrance to the construction site is up about 100 feet on your right. There will be plenty of parking and officials from Weigand Construction will be there to lead you to the press conference, which will take place in center field.

WHO: Mayor Tom Henry, Jason Freier ,CEO Hardball Capital and others
Note: attendees should avoid wearing high heels as the area is mostly gravel.

Three million dollars over five years, half to Hardball …to be used for field maintenance costs …
Hold on now, my Senior Moments occur frequently, but I distinctly remember that Hardball has a triple net lease that makes them responsible for field upkeep.
My reckoning says that Fort Wayne taxpayers are entitled to the naming rights dole …but deep down I believe that Parkview would be a better community citizen by reducing the obnoxious fees charged to its patients by $5 million.
