Joe Biden had this to say today:
“I hear all this talk about how the Republicans are going to work in dealing with parents who have both the joy, because there’s joy to it as well, the joy and the difficulty of raising a child who has a developmental disability, who were born with a birth defect,” Biden said at a rally in Columbia, Missouri. “Well, guess what folks? If you care about it, why don’t you support stem cell research?”

I’ve heard other democrats make similar assertions. Are they being intentionally deceptive? Conservatives support adult stem cell research but not embryonic stem cell research. Democrats know this. McCain or Palin need to call the democrats out on the this.
John, you are right on. I wish the hell McCain, or better yet Palin line that little shit up. Then again I am not sure Biden knows there are two methods.

If you have watched the last two days you can tell the Obama group is starting to come apart. Today CNN reported that Obama said in Ohio that he would pay for all the expanding education plans with the money spent in IRAQ.
First he said the billions we are spending in Iraq is why we are going into debt more and more every month.
Of course today he called for a further drawndown (I love that word) of troops. But then send over to Agaf. Now I am not the smartest rock in the pile but does it not cost the same for troops ot operate in both places?
People Obama is duck and weave. His career is nothing but that. You do not catch his prints on anything. He attacks a person one day and the next is wanting to talk policy and when he gets his head handed back to him then he changes back to the other one. He is the 30 second sound bite man.
You should have noticed when the crap broke about Palin’s child we got a Obama weave. He said he would fire anyone working for him if he caught them. But what he did not say was that any blog supporting him to stop spreading this stuff and the mainstream media to verify before they follow bloggers. NOPE it was not there. I think I call it DUCK AND WEAVE!

When I hear myself while I am speaking is a different sound from hearing a recording of myself. While Mr. Biden must think he sounds terrific, I wonder if he realizes how awful he sounds to everybody else.
I hope the issue of stem cells does come up in debate. Biden’s stupidity of the issue does need to be addressed. There has been no results from embryonic stem cell research other than the death of a child. Adult stem cell research is fast developing many promising – and some proven – results.

I hope it does come up in the debate. I have not heard if Palin is against all types of cell research or just embryonic.
I have a friend whose wife has a rare form of bone cancer. She is on a med that costs nearly 7 grand a month. Yes seven grand for 28 pills to keep it in remission.
When it comes out of remission, and it will the only chance for her to stay alive is a stem cell transplant. The odds of her living through the transplant is under 50% after 30 days.
The point is they are both Catholics. What surprised me was they told me if it had anything to do with embryonic they would pass. This couple is not bible carrying crazy but two simple people. I have always looked up to this guys wife after that of being one of extreme conviction. So Sarah Palin convictions do not surprise me.
