Well it seems (expletive deleted) happens!
It’s why newspapers are in decline. You can say “shit” in a book, movie, video game, in class at South Side High School, or even on TV. But you couldn’t say “shit” in a newspaper.
No Mr. Enders, you cannot say shit on TV. That is still taboo.
You can say crap, however.
Rob:
So…you attended South Side HS?
Bet’cha heard a LOT of expletives there.
FWC:
You can say shit…just not on NETWORK TV – check the cable channels. I’ve heard it slip a few times.
Dan:
Thank the maker…you’ve got ‘em running scared now…lol.

FWC,
Depends on the context. For example, the FCC did allow ABC to air “Saving Private Ryan” uncensored in 2004.
“Shit” was also uttered on “Chicago Hope” and “ER” during the 1990’s. But there was a different president back then, thus different standards. You can expect that the FCC will be more tolerant during the next administration.
Rob:
I don’t know about that…if we wind up with a DEMOCRAT in the WHITE HOUSE, we’ll ALL be saying “SHIT” a lot more often, prefaced by the word “OH”…lol!

Bob G,
We might see the first Gen X president elected in 2016 or 2020. I’m wondering if that might mean the F-word being used during a State of the Union address or the Chinese Premier being addressed as “Dude” or “Homey”.
Not to change back to the original topic, but, you all have even more judge trouble up there folks as of early this morning. Out here in the hinterlands we’re really going to have to go a ways to keep up with the progressive Fort Wayne/Allen County.
