A Citilink trolley hits the gas instead of the brake earlier today.
Dan O’Connell of the Fort Wayne/Allen County Conventions and Visitors Bureau emailed this response:
Friends of the CVB
We had quite a bit of excitement this morning. One of the trolley’s crashed into the side of the building which houses our Visitor Center and CVB offices.
The trolley actually ran into our neighbor BNB Commercial Real Estate’s front window, scaring the be-jeebees out their receptionist who was at her desk right next to the window. Fortunately, no one was hurt, no one was on the trolley and the driver was only shaken up. The driver said he accidently hit the gas pedal instead of the brake when he swerved to avoid hitting a car.
Our CVB staff watched all the commotion for the next hour or so as the firefighters, police, city building inspectors all determined the degree of damage. We’re all fine and back in our offices.
Attached are a few pictures. Add your own cut-lines like, ‘curbside service’, Visitor Center parking, literally’. Just another day at the CVB!

Lunch Trolley? The neither the CVB nor the BNB serve food, let alone have a drive-thru… until now!
Great door-to-door service…lousy park job.
I give ‘em two 2 1/2 stars.

(drive THRU? Looks more like a drive-INTO)
