The mailing says “He ties his shoelaces tight.” Wow, what better qualifications? I mean, we wouldn’t an Attorney General who walked around the State House with loose shoelaces flopping all over the place, would we?

  2. Better than having a hatband too tight.

Dear Republicans: Why are we doing this to ourselves? Proven vote getter? Ha! Costas ran unopposed last election. Not a real tough campaign. Linda Pence, the Democrat candidate, is a bulldog and will eat his lunch. Think about it: who would rather have in your corner? (Pence) A former Dept. of Justice litigator OR a small town solo practicing elder lawyer (Costas). Right, me too!!! I don’t want to hear our party whine “ohhh he’s a good man.” All Republican candidates are good men so lets focus on creditentials. I wish we had a better candidate than Zeller, but at least he has campaigned state-wide and argued before the court of appeals.

It may be good, but not good enough for AG, especially when Steve Carter is endorsing Greg Zoeller. I am less interested in how he is going to get votes, and more interested in what he is going to do as AG.

Zoeller has been there and done that, and the guy who knows him the best, his boss, is endorsing him, that’s good enough for me.

I could care less about “geographically balancing the ticket”, I want the most qualified candidate. Besides, judging from the letter to editor in the local Valpo paper, Costas has some unfinished work to complete.

  5. The “letter to the editor” writer is a punk kid who wants to be the next Jay Leno. You are all making yourselves look foolish using that as your source.

Electability will matter in November, same issue that Barack Obama is now facing. He may be able to win the lefty lefty dems, but he can’t win the Presidency.

Zoeller may be able to win the anti-Mitch vote at the convention …. but can he get elected against Linda Pence? He’s never stood for election. He’s been a great party loyalist, no doubt. But this isn’t about promoting the next guy in line, that’s something Democrats do. Legit Republicans don’t just promote a bereaucrat because they are next in line.

All Daltonsbriefs does all day is post on blog sites. You are on every site. Obviously, you are a paid operative. You better hope you keep your job at State Party, because big boy jobs don’t let you post all day…they ask you to turn a profit.
