Every time this dumbass from NIPSCO checks my meter, he backs onto the grass. There’s now a permanent bare spot from him spinning his tires.

I’m going to have a couple of these strategically placed in the yard next month.

This is simple… you call NIPSCO. You say “your meter reader keeps driving onto my manicured lawn when he backs out because, apparently, he doesn’t know how to drive.” You take pictures of the damage. You say “I’m going to have the area reseeded by professionals and I need to know where to send the bill to so that you guys can pay for the damage.”
And, oh yeah, “I have video of your dipshit driver doing it.”
This kind of shit happens all the time, and utility companies have MASSIVE budgets for this sort of thing. The water came out and basically landscaped my entire (albeit small) front yard because they needed to retrench to our street main.
And if they give you shit, or say no, you call the utilities commission. Let them know you’re going to do that first, though, that’s probably enough of a threat to get them out there.
And you can bet yer sweet bippy the PUC/PSC get someone out there. This is the sort of slam-dunk thing those guys live and breathe for.
