Yes sir folks, some people will now start calling me the Meijer stalker. I was there today to get various and sundry items, and I noticed this guy - a registered sex offender shopping in the toy section.
From the Sex Offender web site, here’s his picture.

Name: Gene Davis
Offense: [35-42-4-4(B)] CHILD EXPLOITATION
Cause: 74C01-0307-FC-189
Sentence: 3 YRS DOC - 1 YR PROBATION
Conviction County: SPENCER
Conviction State: INDIANA
Conviction Date: 01/31/2004
Time served: 9 months
Here he is at Meijers.
I know, my camera phone sucks. It’s him. I went down the isle to confirm it, and it was him. I’ve had him on the site before. I would have just asked him to stand still for a photo-opp, but well, you know.
He wandered through the toy section for about 15 minutes.

What is up with this….3 years and out in 9 months??? Was he checking out the toys or his next child!!! Which Meijers? This is just sickening to say the least. GOOD JOB DAN YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!! Heads up people the low life in hitting on the childrens section. OMG
Perhaps you should alert store security to keep an eye out for this guy.
WTF?
Why would the guy be in Fort Wayne? He was convicted in Spencer County. If memory serves me right that is down on the Ohio River.
Did Indiana Department of Corrections send him up here?
Larry,
I had the same thought, kinda….but looked him up on the registry and he lives in Fort Wayne. I am guessing AWB recognized him easily, because just like me, he is aware of which ones live in and around his community, I keep an eye open for them around where I live because of my kids. If we don’t protect our kids, who will?
he works at a local car dealership in town…..
a Rohrman store i believe
the fort wayne journal gazette has a few of them working there- ditto park place grille- home of the gop breakfast club.
and rallys. and wendys. and quite a few other places- theres about 600 in allen county. look at all those blue dots!
http://www.insor.org
there was a baby raper killed the other day in the wabash valley correctional center- killed in his cell.you would think the states would have a separate facility-prison/mental hospital- to jail, and head shrink these criminally insane humans, where they are away from the rest of us, and not at risk of heinous prison killings. anybody can get killed in any Indiana prison DOC facility at any time.
a class d pot dealer killed by an axe murderer? wheres the justice there?
re: the meier prowler- trolling the toy aisle- thats too creepy.
and doe the city parks dept have a law to keep baby rapers away fromswimming pools- for obvious reasons, and perhaps the local strip bars, as well.
Its easy to say to these insane people ” dont do it, but thats not realisitc.
what would help, is to vote out of office- judges, such as surbeck, who reently said in the news-sentinel- words to the effec that dangerous people should be imprisoned- murderers, robbers, rapists. but left out the often included words “and child rapers”(molesting is such a wimpy word to describe the trauma).
so do our GOP judges up for re-election, and prosecutor think that these “monsters” should n’t be locked up, at least in an institution for the criminally insane, at the very least- where the can serve their lengthy sentences in relatively humane confinement?
and if the local businesses in fort wayne would stop hiring them, and the local social services- rescue mission, trustees, welfare offices, churches would be a little less “merciful and forgiving”- as in what if it was your kid- and we’re not talking precocious or delinquent, consenting/willing/agressive teenage young women, here either- but rape- and lets call it that-
then these sick individuals- both mentally, and whatever else- would move on somewhere else.
like I said- dont eat at rallys, wendys, or anywhere else who hires them. cancel your JG subscription. dont eat at park place- go anywhere else- when the local businesses who hire these freed baby rapers running loose start to feel the economic impact , they will start hiring HS kids, college students, and othere who need work. and what of the many registered “sex-offenders” who are listed as “self-employed”? and listed as working for local temp companies?
oh right- fort wayne is a great place to raise a family- if you can keep your family safe from the 1 per sq. mile avg, but much higher density than that -600 living here in fort wayne.
lets buy them a bus ticket to INDY. let them pay the taxes.
I used to work with him at the FORT WAYNE, IN NISSAN / INFINITI Dealership. He’s a real crook, and tries to get as much money from the buyers and the salesmen anyway he can. When u sell a car, your guaranteed a commission, and he would re-write the paperwork, so he would make money, and the salesman gets none!! Then he would add percentage to the loan of the car to get money from the buyers! He’s a crook, and so is that dealership. He’s not allowed to attend company functions, cause people bring there kids, or they are located near a school. He’s a real piece of work.
I am not about to defend ANY OF THE CRIMES these people have committed. Some of these people are plain bad people who should not be released into the general population period. However, there are others who have learned their lesson and wish to go on with their lives the best they can.
If these places do not hire them (I am sure they keep an eye on them as they open themselves to getting sued if something should happen while they are at work) then what do we do?
Looking up the reported 600 that are here in Allen County would cost us between $18 million and $24 million dollars. Even then when they had served their complete time they would need to work some place or we would need to provide for them.
I do not have the answer. I do have a major problem with people living in Allen County after they lived and committed their crime in some other county. If that is the case then those counties should be paying Allen County some dollars for the probation department to watch over them. They may or may not for all I know.
