U.S. Sen. Evan Bayh (D) will be the featured speaker during Taylor University’s Spring 2008 commencement ceremonies at 10:00 a.m. on May 17. Sen. Bayh also has been nominated for an honorary doctorate in humane letters, pending Board of Trustees approval.
One would like to think the least we could expect Indiana’s self-professed Christian Universities is to stand up for life by not honoring and fawning over public leaders who routinely support abortion on demand, do not support and uphold traditional family values and believe illegal immigrants are somehow entitled to social security.

And they wonder why they get turned down when they call me for money!
His looks, pretty wife and cute kids have gotten him about as far as he’s gonna get. He lacks “substance”.
I had heard this was cancelled because he could/would not accept the private jet transportation provided.
You might want to check with the University. Has anyone checked with the University as to, why Bayh?
Where has this guy been for the last 10 years? I never hear anything about him, don’t think has name has ever come up on any bill, and you never see him on any news show no matter what the issue. Maybe thats why his name comes up as a potential VP for Hillary — he has no skeletons in the closet, as his closet is empty.
Write to Taylor University (you can find contact information on their website) and ask them why they would choose someone like Evan Bayh. There is nothing more distasteful than listening to a politician rattle on about their “faith” (”blah blah blah blah blah”) when the rest of their lives, and perhaps as evidence of their voting record like Mr. Bayh’s, have nothing to show for it.
All I see are EIGHT SIMPLE REASONS why this shrub should NOT speak at Taylor.
