COUNCIL ACTION’S “TRUE BLUE” AWARD FOR
CONSISTENT SUPPORT OF FAMILY(Washington, D.C.) – Congressman Dan Burton [R-IN-05] has been recognized as a “True Blue” Member of Congress by Family Research Council (FRC) Action and Focus on the Family Action for his unwavering commitment to the family.
“I am honored to receive such a distinguished award from such a well-respected organizations like FRC Action and Focus on the Family Action,” said Burton, “I have always admired their hard work and strong conviction on some of the most important issues that face America today, and I am honored to stand with them to fight for family, faith and freedom.”
The award honors Members of Congress who have exhibited extraordinary leadership and commitment to the defense of family, faith, and freedom, according to FRC Action’s new scorecard covering House and Senate votes during the 1st session of the 110th Congress. Recipients of the award voted consistently for pro-life and pro-family issues.

WINS 2007 GOLD MOUSE AWARD
618 House and Senate Web Sites Evaluated for 2007 Gold Mouse Report
(Washington, D.C.) – The Web site of Congressman Dan Burton [R-IN-05] was honored today by the Congressional Management Foundation (CMF), a non-profit, non-partisan management consulting and research organization in Washington, D.C., for having one of the best Web sites in Congress. The site, http://www.house.gov/burton/, was one of only 26 House members’ Web sites commended in The 2007 Gold Mouse Report: Lessons from the Best Web Sites on Capitol Hill. To identify the awards, CMF analyzed 618 congressional Web sites, including those of all Senate and House Members, committees (both majority and minority sites), and official leadership sites. In 2007, CMF awarded 36 Gold, 34 Silver, and 34 Bronze Mouse Awards.
