motel wayneWith the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission now unable to house sexual predators the new home is Motel Wayne at 7001 Lincoln Highway East and the Hometown Inn
6910 US Highway 30 E, Fort Wayne IN. I know where the Hotel Wayne is but I cannot find much on the Hometown Inn. According to the registry there are 11 living at the Hotel Wayne. Maybe they’re both the same location.

This section of town is getting flooded with sex offenders. Just around the corner from Motel Wayne at 5334 New Haven Ave are 4 more offenders, three of which are child molesters. Go south on Sheridan Road to Acorn Oaks Mobile Home Park and you’ll find two living there – both of which are child molesters.

Or go 1/4 mile north to 3430 Maumee Road and at the Ankenbruck Mobile Home Court and you’ll find 4 offenders living there. Two for sexual battery and two child molesters. Go practically next door to Norton’s Motel at 3116 Maumee and there are eight living there. Norton’s is located about 1700 feet from Memorial Park. Go up Coliseum Blvd about 1/2 mile next to Lakeside Golf to the Coliseum Inn at 1020 North Coliseum Blvd and there are two living there, both child molesters.

The state sex offender registry still shows 8 sex offenders living at the Rescue Mission and two working there. Both of the latter being convicted child molesters. One of them is Henry Clay Rush . He has been convicted twice for child molesting.

HENRY CLAY RUSHCharges:

Sentence: 4YRS DOC/ SERVED 4YRS 3MTHS
Conviction County: ALLEN

Conviction Date: 08/08/2003

He lists his home address as 3707 W WASHINGTON CENTER RD
FORT WAYNE, INDIANA 46818. According to the Allen County tax records it’s a mobile home that belongs to a Dixie Patterson. That mobile home park is packed with young families with children.

Trivia: Dixie Patterson made the news back in 1973 when her automobile flipped into Spy Run Creek just north of East State Blvd. Just found that Googling around. She was also involved in attempting to buy some properties in the Harrison Square area before the city got their hands on them but that’s another story.

One more thing. Right down the street from the rescue mission and backing up to the River Greenway at 710 West Superior Street is a house owned by Eddy J Bazile. There are still convicted sex offenders living at this location. I wrote about this location back in February. Bazile works at the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission as a case manager and operates the mission’s Bargains Galore thrift shop at the corner of Lafayette and DeWald Streets.

I’m with Jeff Pruitt. We need to get Fort Wayne City Council to expand the current restriction for living near a park, daycare, school, etc. Jeff wants it to be one mile, (the current limit is 1,000 feet). That would never happen however many communities have successfully increased it to 2,500 feet and that would make it damn near impossible to live within the city of Fort Wayne.

Some facts from the Department of Justice.

5 PERCENT OF SEX OFFENDERS REARRESTED FOR ANOTHER SEX CRIME WITHIN 3 YEARS OF PRISON RELEASE
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Within 3 years following their 1994 state prison release, 5.3 percent of sex offenders (men who had committed rape or sexual assault) were rearrested for another sex crime, the Justice Department’s Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) announced today. If all crimes are included, 43 percent of sex offenders were rearrested for various offenses.

Full report on recidivism rate of sex offenders is here.

I’m glad I don’t live in east Allen County.

    AWB,

This is a no-brainer. We have to get these degenerates out of our community. I think we all understand they have to be somewhere but the further they are from us the better as far as I’m concerned…

The Wayne Motel and the Hometown Inn are both located in New Haven.

The Wayne Motel is located next to Bell’s Skating Rink. The Hometown Inn is across the street from Bell’s.

Many, many children are dropped off at Bell’s for roller skating.

I say wherever you live there could potentially be a problem. Unfortunately even your own home. That is one reason I NEVER leave my kids unattended.

I hate going to the public pools in the summer for work and seeing all this kids dropped off by parents who drive away. It sickens me to think about these little girls “tramping” around the pool and potential or convicted child molesters checking them out. Unfortunately too many parents think if lifeguards are around, it’s okay to leave them. Drowning is not the only thing that could happen. You would never forgive yourself if it happened to your child because of your negligence!

Maybe I’m too strict, but my kids are always within my eyesight!

OK…just tossing this out there……with ALL the illegals coming from Mexico to HERE…why not send all our sex offenders to MEXICO?

    (better yet..Guatemala)

    Tit for tat?

    Just a thought.

    ;)
